Rebuild the Rabbit

The Rabbit is a tiny 1980 Volkswagen pickup truck. It has a gasoline engine motor pulled out of a Volkswagen GTI (1984 I believe). It's a front-wheel drive truck with a manual transmission. The uni-body, fenders, and tailgate are all in really good condition, however the paint is stripped and rust is present, but luckily I have yet to find any holes! Something is wrong with the clutch, it needs a new battery, a muffler, steering wheel, and probably lots of other stuff I don't know about, like rubber hoses, fuel pumps, and electrical issues. The mission is to get the Rabbit running reliably, update technologies wherever I can for safety, and clean it up real nice. To get some ideas of what I have in mind for the Rabbit, please visit my Pinterest board I am calling: VW Rabbit & Friends , This project isn't a purist project, and by that I mean any part of the project can be updated, and paint colors don't have to be original.
